TENANTS RIGHTS UK
Symptoms of Disrepair
About Us
Opening Times 9am - 8pm 6 days a week Sunday 10-4. We aim to action all enquiries straight away.
Tenants Rights UK have a mission to tackle the nation wide crisis of council and housing association properties left in disrepair and tenants suffering in poor housing conditions. Once you report issues in your home, your landlord must investigate and repair within a reasonable time. If your landlord fails to do this, they are in breach of your tenancy agreement and you are legally entitled to seek the help of a solicitor.
Making a claim may sound scary at first but in doing so does not effect your tenancy agreement at all.
"No Win No Fee"
Our solicitors work on a ‘no win no fee’ basis. They will work on your behalf to come to an agreement with your landlord and make them complete the repairs. They will also negotiate compensation for your damaged belongings and the inconvenience you have endured.
You and your family should not have to suffer with leaks, damp, mould or infestations in your home.
The Process
1
Send your details
You can enquire by filling out our website form or email us your name and number.
2
Talk to us
We want to help you as quickly as possible. We will give you a call as soon as we receive your enquiry. We will advise you with your best interest at heart to do whats right by you.
3
Survey Visit
We can arrange for one of our surveyors to assess the damages. They can advise you on the best way to move forward. This is a no obligations visit, therefore there is no pressure to sign up to a claim straight away. We may be able to find another way to help!
4
Sign up to your solicitor
Once our advisors determine you have a strong case, we will send a report to one of our specialist solicitors. We can help you fill out any documents for the solicitors. They will work on your behalf to contact your landlord and come to an agreement.
5
Completed
As soon as you accept the offer, repairs can commence and be completed within the timescale agreed. You will also receive your compensation.
Why Choose Us?
We want to help better the lives of social housing tenants. No one should have to live in damp, rotten, leaking properties. We treat these issues seriously as we understand the impact they can cause on peoples lives. Living in such conditions can lower the quality of your life as well as impact your health.

We want to do more and make a positive impact in communities that are heavily impacted with these issues. Thats why we have teamed up with a number of community centres and organisations to help spread the word. We work hard to make donations to our community centres and strive to look for more ways to help people.
We do not put pressure on you to make a claim, therefore should you not wish to make a claim, we will do our best to support and advise you.

The amount of compensation is determined by individual circumstances.
It all depends on how severe the disrepair issues are and how long you have been reporting them for.
You case may be stronger if you have any evidence of reporting, such as emails or calls you have made to your landlord.

This will not impact your tenancy agreement. If you have a secure tenancy and have reported repairs, it is your legal right to claim. If you have been keeping up with your responsibilities as a tenant, your landlord CANNOT evict you.
